What is WishDrop?
WishDrop is a platform that lets DJs collect live song requests from fans via QR code. Fans don't need an app — they simply scan the QR code and submit their song.
Do fans need to download an app?
No. Fans scan the QR code with their phone camera and the page opens directly in the browser. No downloads, no accounts required.
How is the system protected against spam?
WishDrop includes multiple layers of protection: IP-based rate limiting (10 requests/hour), honeypot fields to detect bots, and submission frequency limits.
What is the Tip Jar?
After submitting a song wish, fans have the option to add a voluntary tip (€1, €2, €5, or €10) via Stripe. This is completely optional for fans.
How do I receive tips directly to my account?
Pro DJs with a connected Stripe account receive 88% of each tip directly to their bank account. WishDrop keeps 12% as a platform fee. Connect Stripe in the dashboard under the Plan tab.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The Free plan allows up to 30 song wishes per month. The Pro plan (€9/month) includes unlimited wishes, a Tip Jar with direct payouts via Stripe Connect, priority support, and event management with PIN protection.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. You'll retain access to Pro features until the end of your current paid period.
What are Events?
Events let you create individual gig entries with a name, date, and optional PIN code. Fans enter the PIN to submit wishes for that specific event. This feature is available on the Pro plan.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, the WishDrop Android app is available on Google Play for internal testing. The DJ dashboard is also fully responsive in the mobile browser.
